Ron Thompson is a retired Electrical/Electronics Engineer. He plays piano, lead guitar, rythym guitar, harmonica, bass guitar, and electronic keyboard. He writes his own music having copyrighted around 150 + songs, both gospel and country genre. Ron served as the regular pianist in three different churches during the past several years. Some of his earliest memories are of his dad singing over WLAR radio station in a quartet live each Sunday morning.

Some of the first songs Ron released to radio were recorded and released on the Stardust of Nashville Label. He has released songs on several different labels during the past couple of years with several songs charting in the top 100 of different genres. One of his charting songs was during Christmas 2006 with "Momma's Christmas Tree" charting nationally in the U. S. and internationally in Top 40 ECMA mostplays chart. The song charted in the top 10 for three weeks in Australia and peaked at #5. That song was released on the Glory Train Records and Stardust Of Nashville Labels. Another 2007 released charting song was "Tennessee Mountain Boy" which charted top 40 in the U. S. and also #31 on an ECMA most plays chart.

"Momma's Hillbilly Boy" was released on the Hilltopper label and also on the Nite*Sky label in 2007-8. That song charted top 40 in five charts and top 20 in three charts. The song was top 40 in the East Coast Review chart for three months peaking at #19. It also peaked at #12 in the ECMA most plays chart and #19 in the Ramgattie international top 40 chart. Ron is scheduled to release "Redneck Preacher Man" in summer 2008 on the Glory Train, Nite*Sky, and Stardust record labels.
